Meet Lynette McNeill

Your Teacher & Coach

Lynette Katselas McNeill studied acting and directing, and earned a BA in theatre from the University of Colorado. After graduating, she studied in New York with Stella Adler and Uta Hagen.

As a director and producer, Lynette’s work has won wide recognition. Her production of “In Rehearsal” earned 5 awards from the Southern California Motion Picture Arts Council. It was the first time a theatrical production had been awarded. She was subsequently asked to direct at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. She co-wrote and directed an original musical, “Intermission”, and produced and directed the West Coast premiere of Elizabeth Swados’ “Runaways”. Recently, Lynette directed Linda Hamilton in “Laura” at the Tiffany Theatre. She created a series with Bristol Cities Productions for Paramount Studios entitled, “Mr. and Mrs. Darling” which is currently in development.

Lynette found her niche in Hollywood as a prominent acting teacher and coach. With her “Say Goodbye to Hollywood” showcase series, she introduced some of Hollywood’s top young stars.

Lynette’s former students include: Adam Sandler, Jason Lee, Ellen DeGeneres, Jane Leeves, Faith Ford, Anne Archer, Jeneane Garofalo, Giovanni Ribisi, Adam Goldberg, Marisol Nichols and Johnny Lewis.

Lynette focuses on working with the students as individuals to help them discover their acting voice. This is vital to opening the door to a successful career. She helps the actor develop their skills to produce dramatic results for auditions and on-set performances.

Lynette believes actors learn by doing, so every actor works on exercises in every session that are tailor-made to expand their range with character and emotion. She focuses on providing the actor with top-notch understanding of script analysis, auditioning, and working on-set.
